Market Pulls Out Positive Finish Thursday

The market managed to pull itself out of the red to close in positive territory Thursday. Democrats say they’re moving forward with a banking bill, with or without Republican support. Meanwhile, weekly jobless claims and a report on the trade deficit topped the day’s economic reports. In M & A, BP will buy Devon Energy’s deepwater assets. Overseas, thousands of people took to the streets in Greece to protest salary cuts and higher taxes.
